My interest lies at the interface of mass spectrometry, protein biochemistry and biophysics. I am interested in how proteins fold and interact to perform their complex functions, or misfold leading to a spectrum of diseases. The goal of my current research project is to develop Native Extraction Surface Analysis (NESA) mass spectrometry as a novel tool for studying protein-ligand and protein-protein interactions under native conditions. The outcome of this research will contribute to in situ structural characterisation (stoichiometry, binding sites and binding affinity) of biologically relevant protein-ligand and protein-protein complexes in collaboration with others.
