HS Sulphotransferases

We are studying the dynamic expression and localisation of O- and N-sulphotransferases, both in vitro (in cell culture models) and in vivo (in developing mouse brain). We are using molecular biology techniques including RT-PCR, quantitative RT-PCT and in-situ hybridisation. The goal is to relate the in vivo biosynthetic process to the structures and functions of the resulting HS. This information will help greatly in understanding the functional roles of HS.
