HS in Model Organisms
We are studying the structure of HS in the
model organisms the fruit fly Drosophila and the nematode C elegans. This work is funded as part of a Human
Frontier Science Program network grant in
concert with an international network of
collaborators. PRIMO - Proteoglycan Research in Model Organisms
We are also working actively on the expression
and activity of C elegans orthologs of the syndecan HSPG and O-sulphotransferases
responsible for HS biosynthesis.
